Kitchen Basics according to Sheila Bridges and Good Housekeeping

skillet or saute pans - 8", 10", 12" - check on the 12"pan
a blender with only 1 switch button - check
a stockpot with strainer - check but no strainer
a 2-quart sauce pan - check
a dutch oven [cast iron with enamel]- when do i stop drooling
baking dishes - check
a coffeemaker with cone-shaped filter - not a priority, i prefer instant coffee mixes
a chef's knife - CHECK, Santoku yay!
a bread knife - check
a paring knife - find one that's decently priced
sharpening steel for the knives - i already have a sharpening block
a knife holder [to hold them altogether, of course]- of course, got a knife block
silicone spatulas - check, plenty
tongs - check
a medium sized, balloon shaped whisk - check
and lastly a bamboo steamer - gotta remember to get this next
